Hospitals, especially those in the Klang Valley and other urban areas, have little choice but to refer them to shelters run by the Government or NGOs, as they need the beds for new patients. Read the full story on thestaronline HERE .

Silhoutte Images

Silhouette images are so dramatic and mysterious, sometimes your subject matter is dull and boring but when you turned it into silhouette it gives a whole new dimension to your subject matter and the image captured. Your image is left to the imagination of the viewer to interprete it.

The basic thing you need to do to shoot a silhouette photo is to  put or compose your subject against a light source for example sun, lights, candle lights etc. Point your camera meter to the brightest spot and lock the exposure reading. This will make your subject under expose and Voila you will have your silhouetted image. Have fun trying them out and have a good one. Wallahualam.

Slow Speed Technics

I was invited to share my experiences and tips on photography during a programme called "Lensa" on the  16th of June, 2012, organised by a facebook close community group called Bukit Chandan Kampungku (BCKK) in Kuala Kangsar, in the state of Perak about 230Km north of Kuala Lumpur.

Some of the attendees asked me about panning and slow speed technics. Well above is a combo photo of three different slow shutter speed technics shot by me that i would like to share here.

Pic 1 (top): Use a slow shutter speed and try to capture a moving subject, you may also fill in your shot with flash.
Pic 2 (centre): Use a slow shutter speed and zoom in / zoom out your lens while pressing the shutter button.
Pic 3 (bottom): Use a slow shutter speed and move your camera clockwise / anti clockwise while pressing the shutter button.

Try them out, have fun and have a good one. Wallahualam.

Tunku Aziz: Why I Turned My Back On DAP

I took this shot of former DAP (Democratic Action Party) vice chairman from behind as he arrived for our interview. He just quit his post in the party the night before on national television citing "irreconcilable differences" with the opposition party leadership. The photo made it in today's The Star newspaper with the headline: Tunku Aziz: Why I Turned My Back On DAP. I love it, it's a simple case of a picture that goes with the story, though i preffered it to be publish like the bottom picture.
