Thaipusam 2014
Thaipusam is a Hindu festival celebrated mostly by the Tamil community on the full moon in the Tamil month of Thai (January/February). It is mainly observed in countries where there is a significant presence of Tamil community. On Thaipusam day, Batu Caves often attracts over one million devotees offer prayers either by piercing

Malayan Tiger
The Malayan tiger was given “totally protected” status in 1976 – it could be hunted as a game species prior to that. But 30 years later, it remains in a perilous state. Although the Department of Wildlife insists that tiger numbers, around 500, are not dwindling and still form a viable population, threats have not really eased. Read more HERE .
